Tackling Tobacco in California - Part 2
A webinar series on new laws regulating tobacco sales
California’s recently enacted tobacco control laws modernize the state’s approach to reducing tobacco use.
They strengthen the state’s smokefree workplace provisions and expand the definitions of “smoking” and “tobacco product” to include electronic smoking devices, whether or not they contain nicotine.
This webinar provides an overview of the California smokefree workplace law and discuss the practical implications for implementation. Hosted by ChangeLab Solutions and the American Lung Association in California Center for Tobacco Policy & Organizing, the webinar also examines strategies coalitions can use to address questions and concerns from local communities. The California Tobacco Control Program discuss the state’s implementation of the new laws as well as guidance for local communities.
