That’s why ChangeLab Solutions, with support from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, has developed a policy guide and a training video to help educators, policymakers, and other partners understand how policies in schools can be used to promote student connection, create supportive learning environments, and improve student health.
Our policy guide An Educator’s Primer on the School Policy Process is designed to provide knowledge of the policy process in school environments. Our training video How Do Schools Affect Adolescent Physical and Mental Health, and What Can Schools Do to Strengthen Students' Overall Health? discusses the connections between school policies, school environments, and adolescent health, offering steps that school practitioners can take to better support students’ overall health and well-being.
