Leadership Changes on Our Board

Farewell & thank you to our outgoing board members

ChangeLab Solutions is deeply grateful to our entire board of directors for their service to our organization. As the end of the year approaches, bringing leadership changes on our board, we are preparing to welcome new board members and bidding farewell to four outgoing members who have been excellent guides and thought partners for many years. Please join ChangeLab Solutions in wishing them the best in their next endeavors and applauding their rich contributions in service of ChangeLab’s mission.

Oxiris Barbot, MD, an innovative public health leader, brought more than 25 years’ experience in public health and health care delivery to three terms on our board. A deeply committed and engaged colleague, she served as board chair for two years and helped the board work more strategically to advance our mission. She has been generous with her network and her connections, supporting ChangeLab in expanding our partnerships. Another of Oxiris’s many contributions was helping ChangeLab navigate the worst of the pandemic while she was serving as New York City's commissioner of health.

Adolph P. Falcón, MPP, has offered steady, strategic, and forward-looking guidance through nearly a decade of organizational growth. He has held multiple important roles during his three-term tenure on our board, including treasurer and finance committee chair as well as board chair during ChangeLab’s leadership transition. Adolph is an extremely knowledgeable nonprofit executive with deep expertise in nonprofit financial management, and he has been a key partner for our chief financial officer in navigating a nuanced and rapidly changing financial landscape.

Audrey Tayse Haynes, MSW, completed two terms on ChangeLab’s board, serving as vice chair, secretary, and organizational growth committee chair. She brought a national perspective to her work on the board, drawing on her years of experience in working across the aisle in Kentucky’s Cabinet for Health and Family Services and in the Clinton/Gore White House. Audrey enthusiastically shared the value and impact of investing in ChangeLab and worked to better organize the board for fundraising. Audrey has recently moved back to her home state of Kentucky, and we wish her the very best as she settles into her community there.

Kyu Rhee, MD, MPP, brought an important health care lens to his one term on our board. Tapping into his decades of experience in public health work at the National Institutes of Health and other major organizations, he provided deep knowledge of policy to support our strategic initiatives. Kyu recently took a position as president and CEO of the National Association of Community Health Centers, which has him traveling the country to expand access to health care.

Thank you again, Oxiris, Adolph, Audrey, and Kyu, for your support of ChangeLab Solutions.
