ChangeLab Solutions' National Policy and Legal Analysis Network to Prevent Childhood Obesity (NPLAN) helps communities become healthier places for children to grow and thrive. We provide technical assistance on legal and policy questions related to healthy eating and active living. Since our inception in 2007, we have answered thousands of technical assistance questions from communities all around the country. We work on four broad issue areas: healthy community food systems, healthy schools, healthy land use planning, and food marketing.
NPLAN is part of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s national childhood obesity prevention initiative. RWJF funds efforts at the local, state and federal level to change public policies and community environments in ways that promote improved nutrition and increased physical activity—both of which are critical to reversing the childhood obesity epidemic.
